One-two-three. This is the third melanoma we found on the back last month. But no one knows how long they had been there. Fortunately, all three turned out to be relatively early-stage melanomas.

Melanomas can appear anywhere on the skin. We have seen melanomas hiding under the hair, on the back of the shoulder, behind the knee, on the back of the arm, even parts that never see the sun.
There are many spots on your body that you are unable to see, even using a mirror. Besides, a skin cancer or melanoma might not appear the way you’d expect it to be. Only a professional examination can tell for sure.
